PowerColor Unleashes Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil With EK Water Block, Single
PowerColor has unleashed its first liquid-cooled Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card in the form of the Liquid Devil series.
The PowerColor Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil is made in collaboration with EK and provides the main component of this graphics card, it's cooling. The cooling is a custom water block that offers GPU, VRAM, and VRM cooling. The card features a semi-acrylic surface that also comes with a black tint featuring tiny PowerColor Devil logos. A backplate is also included that covers the entire back of the card.
Some of the highlighted features of the card are mentioned below:
Nickel-Plated Base
High-Quality PCB Design and Power Delivery
Dual BIOS: OC/Unleash
RGB
EK-Loop Leak Tester Flex
Underneath the hood of the PowerColor Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil is the Navi 31 GPU with 24 GB of GDDR6 memory. The card uses a triple 8-pin connector array on a custom PCB design that offers dual BIOS mode. The card is set to OC mode by default for ultra-performance at a balanced energy level while the Unleash BIOS gives the card its full power with the highest clocks to break world records. For this purpose, the PCB has been outfitted with a premium 14-layer high TG PCB with a 2 oz power layer.
In terms of clock speeds, the card features a standard 2455 MHz / 2615 MHz (Game/Boost) clock speed on the OC BIOS and 2510 / 2680 MHz (Game/Boost) with the Unleash BIOS. That's a 7.2% increase over the reference model and a 2% increase over the OC BIOS.
So far, this is the 2nd card to offer a liquid-cooling design to the RDNA 3 GPUs with the first one being the ASRock Radeon RX 7900 Aqua series which comes in both XTX & XT flavors. Following are some impressive shots by CornerJack over at overclocking.com:
Another cool thing about the card is that it comes in a single-slot form factor and a VRM that offers a 20+1 power phase. Furthermore, the Liquid Devil Radeon RX 7900 XTX also comes with EK's Loop Leak tester Flex kit and a small pump which allows users to check for possible leaks prior to adding it to their PCs. The PowerColor Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil is definitely an impressive graphics card but the company has yet to unveil its pricing or availability information.
